Verity A. Jones becomes program director of Lilly’s religion division
Verity A. Jones has joined the Lilly Endowment as program director in the religion division.
Jones has been a consultant to the religion division and helped lead several Lilly-funded initiatives. She directed the New Media Project, which helped pastors and congregational leaders examine how to use digital communications to enhance their ministries. She was associate director of the Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program at Wabash College and served on the board of directors at Louisville Institute, based at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Jones has served as a pastor in congregations in Connecticut and Indiana. She is the former publisher of DisciplesWorld.
“Verity has worked as a pastor, publisher, and theological educator,” said Christopher L. Coble, vice president for religion. “She is highly respected among religious leaders and brings a wide range of experience and a depth of knowledge to her new role.”
