I've participated in a few writing projects that I need to let you know about:

This week, I’m over at The Hardest Question, talking about the Job and Mark lectionary passages. It's often challenging to think about the question of suffering and healing, and this week's lectionary leads us right into wrestling with those questions.

I also contributed four sermons to Hungry, and You Fed Me: Homilies and Reflections for Cycle C  which came out this week. Jim Knipper edited the book and Meredith Gould wrote the foreword. There are contributions from a lot of interesting people, including Father Richard Rohr. The writers and preachers donated to the book in order to raise money for the hungry and the homeless. So, please, buy it so you can be inspired and we can raise a lot of money.  

I also contributed to Renew 52: 50+ Ways to Revitalize Your Congregation from Leaders Under 50, by  David Lose. This compilation is a free e-book that you can download in a PDF, Kindle, iPad, or Nook format.

And I was quoted in Newsweek, talking about the possibility of Jesus having a wife. I talked about how the possibility unmasked a bit of my own misogyny.
