DIRECTOR OF FIELD EDUCATION—Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary is looking for a Director of Field Education. This tenure-track faculty position is responsible for the development and operation of the seminary's nationally recognized contextual education program. Administrative responsibilities include recruitment and training of supervisors, the cultivation and nurture of a variety of educational settings in which the practice of ministry is the primary focus, and partnering with a racially and ecclesially diverse group of students and their denominations to nurture them toward ordination. Teaching responsibilities will focus on supervision, theological reflection on ministerial practice, and related areas. The Director of Field Education will report to the dean and work collaboratively with the offices of Lifelong Learning, Alum and Church Relations and Admissions. The seminary's mission is to educate men and women to participate in the redemptive ministry of Jesus Christ in the world. For this position we seek a person with parish experience and an advanced theological degree (D. Min. Th. D., Ph. D.) in addition to the M. Div., who has a significant background in both academic and experiential education. He or she should be an effective educator, administrator and leader in ministry.
